Who Stands Between

Poems by Topic ::: Poems in Irish

Who stands between when two dogs fight
Or tween two fighting boys at school
No matter who he thinks is right
He is but a fool.

It is a dogs nature to snarl
And bite, and growl and bark and snap
And when boys fight in the playground
It is the mere nature of each chap.

When nations each they go to war
We should stand to one side
Nations have fought since time began
And millions in warfare have died.
