Men of Creed Are
Not Men of God

"We must heed what is the creed"
- John Charles Mc Quaid

John Charles Mc Quaid

Men of cloth are not men of God
Though they may think they are indeed
You must have a Christian heart
Not just spout Christian creed.
God is about more than mere belief
And chanting of hymn and prayer
You may as well recite nursery rhymes
If the love for fellow man is not there.

They may not share your beliefs,
You may think that theirs is wrong,
But they too are Children of God,
And we must get along.
You can try to show them your path,
By example and debate
Not by force and discrimination
of a man for his faith!

Hell will be full of holy men
Who cite the canon law,
Though they said mass and spoke of God
Evil in their hearts He saw.
And those of a different creed
Be they wrong or right,
Because they loved their fellow man
They for their sins God wont smite.
