Elegy for Neda Soltani

She died on video before my eyes...
She just lay there dying
She uttered not a cry
It was all others around her crying

It is but a day shes dead
But now its not the same
Yesterday she was an unknown girl
Today she has a name

Neda Soltani has passed away
But her memory will never die
She achieved more than many at the protests
Her death is the reason why

For many ignore Iran its not real
But its brutality and the truth they must realise
You cannot dismiss the death of a girl
When you see her die with your own eyes.
