Should I Again
Her Smile Not See

lipstick
Should I again her smile not see,
Blessed was I to be,
To have known, and fond have grown,
Oh her and her company.
And though lover we never were,
As much because I was not bold,
Her memory will always be
In my heart, and of be told.
Another man somewhere sometime,
May someday break her heart,
And that to comfort her I cant be there
It tears mine apart.
But an angel will be sent by God
To appease her fears
And I hope one worthy of her love
Comes to wipe away her tears.
That it was me, I wish it was,
Though we may never had romance,
And I, not bold, so never winning
Wasted a lifetimes chance,
For though it would never be
And of the heartache I've been spared...
Should you love another as I did she,
Make sure your loves declared.
Though your love may not be returned,
And you feel foolish as you depart,
You'll not regret what might have been,
As I do, in my heart.
