In Times Passing, Feelings Have Faded

In times passing feelings have faded,
That I never allowed as love to be
For I, the fool, maybe as such I was to so feel
Thought one like you would never love one like me.
But in a cavern deep in my heart,
A fire warm for you does burn,
And on thinking of the beauty of your smile
The conflagation does return.

What of you has become, I do not know
I just hope and pray that happy you are
And fortunate is he who your kisses enjoys...
Just know that you from my heart are never far.
Should I ever the chance again to have:
The chance I’ll size and my love declare
And should I a fool, for so in love, turn out to be
I’ll not be the first through love, to be a fool there
