A Cliché

ClichéWhen is a cliché not a cliché?
When a true fact is not a personal opinion held by you
Is a new record the old adage
That all are about to bite the dust too?

Do we burn our bridges in blind indifference
As the bull runs round the china shop
Before beating a hasty retreat from the battle royal
Where all combatents but the king are shot?

Tongue tied in a language lather
We drown in a sea of words
Are we but a flock of sheep
Trying to look like a flock of birds?
