Ullans Ireland Project

The Ullans Ireland Project is an initiative to introduce and promote Scottish culture and language to the Irish natives of our island.

If we are to share the island as a united nation sometime in the future as the Irish, and some Scots desire, equality of cultures and languages should be paramount.

While retaining the special status of Irish, Ullans too should be given official language status, as the Scots are / will be a legitimate minority in our island when united.

This will help bond our peoples, and built trust between our traditions.

To this end, our website has been created.

So, a quick few questions...

Is the site connected with the ULTACH group?

Absolutly not, but we do hope to do for Ullans among the native Irish as they do for Irish across the community boundaries in Northern Ireland.

Is the site connected to any political party?

No, while republican myself, and many aspects of the site address the language from such a standpoint, the site itself is neutral, and is projected in such a fashion to address some of the more skeptical viewers.

Are you Governement funded?

We wish!!!

At the project, we hope to garner support among nationalist for the promotion of the tongue from dialect to full language status, and have on par with Gaelic as a native language of  Ireland, on par with English.
