I remember back in the 70s the Avenger was a familiar sight on Britain's roads. It started off as a Hillman, became a Chrysler and then a Talbot - all during the course of one decade. The BBC website refers to me as having always had a fascination with space and technology. Just visit bbc.com and put MARS PLEASE in its search engine to access it all. Always remember the Avengers were best driven sideways, was having a clear out of the garage and found I still have a Head gasket in tact if any body has an unfinished project and can't get one.

I have been racing Avengers for over 23 years now and she is still looking good and going strong. Good to see a site dedicated to Avengers, keep up the good work. Can anyone help with finding competition parts...?

I remember my dad buying a Hillman Avenger estate back in 1973. It was dark blue, and the number plate was OEI 59. I think he bought it in Strokestown, but we lived in Sligo at the time, hence the EI plate. It's interesting to see that some of these cars are still around. | |
