I remember back in the 70s the Avenger was a familiar sight on Britain's roads. It started off as a Hillman, became a Chrysler and then a Talbot - all during the course of one decade.
The BBC website refers to me as having always had a fascination with space and technology. Just visit bbc.com and put MARS PLEASE in its search engine to access it all. Please also read my articles at jeremykeller.blogspot.com.

Always remember the Avengers were best driven sideways, was having a clear out of the garage and found I still have a Head gasket in tact if any body has an unfinished project and can't get one.

I have been racing Avengers for over 23 years now and she is still looking good and going strong. Good to see a site dedicated to Avengers, keep up the good work. Can anyone help with finding competition parts...?

I remember my dad buying a Hillman Avenger estate back in 1973. It was dark blue, and the number plate was OEI 59.
I think he bought it in Strokestown, but we lived in Sligo at the time, hence the EI plate.
It's interesting to see that some of these cars are still around.
